Sofi Khan
Born in Fiji and now based in London, Sofi has spent over twenty years exploring the emotional power of colour. Beginning her artistic practice at 13, she has developed a distinctive visual language that transforms vivid hues into immersive, felt experiences.
Working primarily with acrylics, her practice unfolds across two connected bodies of work. Her abstract portraits move beyond literal representation, using colour to reveal the intensity and complexity of human emotion. In parallel, her universe series expands into a more cosmic, avant-garde space, where colour becomes a vehicle for atmosphere, energy, and connection.
Sofi’s Fijian heritage informs an intuitive sensitivity to colour’s cultural and spiritual resonance, while her London base situates her within a broad contemporary dialogue. Each painting is conceived as an emotional catalyst — not simply to be viewed, but experienced — as she continues to push the boundaries of abstraction as a conduit for human connection.
