Krista Hehedysh
Krista Hehedysh Emerging Ukrainian-born contemporary artist, currently based in Paris.
Artist Statement: My practice is rooted in lived experience shaped by emigration, uncertainty, and continuous inner transformation. I focus on moments of pause and transition — states in which identity shifts and the inner world responds to external pressures. I work with subtle psychological processes such as anticipation, protection, hesitation, and release. Through abstraction, symbolic human forms, fragments of the body, light, and spatial relationships, I explore moments of pause during periods of vulnerability and change. My work traces how memory, perception, and self-awareness evolve over time, revealing how inner transformation leaves quiet yet persistent traces on the body, on space, and on presence itself within a fast-moving world.
