Nadira Gupta

Nadira Gupta known as NMG, is a dynamic and passionate photographer whose work has included captivating images of NYC, vibrant wildlife, and the environment. Photography is the perfect medium of art to marry her foreign policy background with artistic goals of one day becoming a photojournalist with a view to advancing evolving social issues. She grew up in the Bronx,NY, lived and worked in several countries always witnessing a range of social issues that transcends borders. This experience provides her with a unique lived experience needed to successfully showcase socially relevant stories through photography. Loosing her father at an early age, ignited her passion for preserving memories and emotions in a world that is constantly changing , she is inspired by the beauty of nature and human experiences. She is driven by a desire to amplify the issues that affect our societies and to invoke empathy and action in those who view her work. She has exhibited at ArtontheAve NYC, Griffin Museum of Photography, Frederic Remington Museum of Art , the Heath Gallery, NYPL and earned a spot in the Bleucalf’s Top International Photographers series. Nadira’s artwork aims to connect with audiences by creating compelling images to generate emotions that will inspire action for social change and leave them with a meaningful visual experience.
