Willy Mick
Willy Mick, born on August 3, 1985, in Porto-Novo, discovered painting at a young age. With an educational background in tourism and hospitality, he spent several years coordinating hotel service staff. This journey helped shape his determination to pursue his true passion: contemporary art.
After participating in several exhibitions in Benin and Germany, he committed himself fully to turning his passion into a profession through abstract art. Many works by the contemporary painter are now part of private collections in Germany, Côte d’Ivoire, and other countries.
The artist creates contemporary works in a unique abstract style using mixed media techniques that incorporate everyday objects and materials into his compositions. His paintings express emotion and invite viewers to experience their own feelings while leaving space for imagination and escape.
His desire to explore the world brings us closer to his vision of transforming dreams into color. His abstract painting is filled with creativity and vitality, revealing a deep curiosity and an ongoing desire, canvas after canvas, to discover more profoundly who he is, who others are, and above all, to unravel the fascinating mystery of the artwork itself.
According to the artist, the entire universe is represented through art, and a world without art is like a body without a soul.
