My name is Hannah Goodwin, I have a bachelors degree in Fine Art from Central Saint Martins, 2015. I am a mixed media, confessional artist exploring mental health through shifting perspectives and forms. My attached works combine, ink, water colour and digital manipulation. Inspired by 'The Yellow Wallpaper' by Charlotte Perkins Gilman, and the cyclical nature of intrusive thoughts, these pieces reflect the internal dialogue of someone processing trauma. Each work begins with a single sentence, hand written repeatedly, then twisted, rotated and multiplied into intricate, evolving patterns. Like the story itself, the meaning is embedded within the 'wallpaper' it asks the viewer; can you see it clearly - or will you lose yourself trying to find it?
