Brea Freeburn
Brea Freeburn is a London-based artist and MA Painting candidate at the Royal College of Art. Her practice operates between painting and sculptural support, using digitally fabricated and hand-built structures to explore containment, vulnerability, and interior psychological space.
Through biomorphic forms and exoskeleton-like frameworks, she treats painting as a spatial encounter rather than a purely visual image. Her work engages with ideas of sanctuary, embodiment, and the porous boundary between body and architecture, drawing on phenomenology and material-led processes. Freeburn holds a First Class BA (Hons) in Fine Art from Ulster University and a PGCE in Art and Design, and is currently based in London.
